Managing Your Team
Set up your company workspace, create teams, manage members, and control access.
Company Workspaces
When you first sign in to Nutan, a company workspace is created automatically based on your email domain. If someone from your company already signed up, you'll be added to the existing workspace.
How Auto-Provisioning Works
- You sign in with your work email (e.g., jane@acme.com).
- Nutan checks if a company workspace for "acme.com" already exists.
- If yes, you're added to that workspace.
- If no, a new workspace is created with you as the first member.
No admin setup is required. This is Nutan's product-led growth model — individuals can start using the product immediately, and teams form organically as colleagues join.
Teams Within Your Company
Companies can have multiple teams. Teams let you organize members by function, region, or any grouping that makes sense for your organization:
- Sales East / Sales West
- Enterprise / Mid-Market / SMB
- SDR Team / AE Team
Creating a Team
- Go to Settings → Team.
- Click Create Team.
- Name the team and add members from your company workspace.
Team Membership
Each user can belong to one or more teams. Team membership determines:
- Which deals and pipeline views are shared
- Team-level intelligence and patterns
- Manager visibility into team activity
User Roles
Users within a company have roles that determine their access level:
| Role | Can Do |
|---|---|
| Member | Access own deals, meetings, contacts. Use all AI features. Manage own integrations. |
| Manager | Everything a member can do, plus view team members' pipeline and meeting patterns. |
| Admin | Everything a manager can do, plus manage team membership, company settings, and integrations. |
Changing Roles
Admins can change user roles from Settings → Team → Members. Click on a member and select their new role.
Inviting Team Members
Nutan uses auto-provisioning, so there's no formal invite flow. Share the Nutan download link with your team. When they sign in with their company email, they'll be added to your workspace automatically.
If your company uses SSO, team members will be routed through your identity provider automatically.
Data Isolation
Each user's meeting data (recordings, transcripts, coaching) is private to them by default. What's shared at the team level:
- Deal pipeline (deals are visible to team members associated with them)
- Contact records (shared across the company)
- Knowledge base (shared across the company)
Meeting transcripts, chat messages, and personal coaching insights are not shared unless the user explicitly chooses to sync intelligence to a shared deal record.
Removing Team Members
Admins can remove members from a team in Settings → Team → Members. Removing a member:
- Revokes their access to team-level views
- Does not delete their personal data
- Their deals and contacts remain in the company workspace
- They can still use Nutan individually
