Terms of Service

Agreement

By accessing or using Nutan, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you're using Nutan on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

The Service

Nutan is a desktop application that captures meeting audio, transcribes it locally, analyses conversations using on-device AI, and optionally syncs structured intelligence to your CRM. The service is currently available as a private beta for macOS. Audio is processed and deleted entirely on your device — it is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Your Data

You own your data. Meeting audio, transcripts, deal intelligence, chat messages, knowledge base content, and all other data generated by Nutan belong to you. We do not claim any rights to your data. Your local data is stored in a database protected with industry-standard strong encryption, with the encryption key held in your operating system's secure keychain.

Account & Authentication

Nutan uses standards-based OAuth for authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication credentials and your device. On first sign-in, Nutan auto-provisions your account and company workspace.

Cloud Sync

Cloud sync is optional and disabled by default. When enabled, your structured data syncs encrypted between devices every 5 minutes. Audio never syncs. You may disable cloud sync at any time from Settings. When you delete data, tombstone records ensure deletion propagates across all synced devices.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Nutan in compliance with applicable laws, including any laws governing the recording of conversations in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring appropriate consent where required by law. You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the application.

Beta Service

Nutan is currently in beta. The service may contain bugs, may be unstable, and may change significantly. We provide the beta service “as is” without warranties of any kind. Features may be added, modified, or removed during the beta period.

CRM Integration

When you connect Nutan to your CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot), you authorise Nutan to read deal and contact data from your CRM and write structured intelligence back. OAuth tokens for your CRM are stored in your OS keychain and can be revoked at any time by disconnecting the integration from Settings. You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate permissions to connect your CRM.

Email & Calendar Integration

When you connect Gmail or Google Calendar, you authorise Nutan to read your email and calendar data for deal context and meeting preparation. Nutan may send emails on your behalf only when you explicitly approve a draft. These integrations use standards-based secure OAuth flows — tokens are exchanged directly between your device and Google.

Data Deletion

You may delete your data at any time from within the application. Nutan provides granular deletion controls — delete specific data categories or everything at once. Full account erasure runs in a single atomic transaction. Audit logs are retained per legal compliance obligations (GDPR Article 17(3)(e)). For account deletion requests, contact legal@nutan.ai.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nutan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via the email associated with your account. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
