Managing Your Deals

Create, edit, and track deals through your pipeline with stages, signals, and intelligence.

Your Deal Pipeline

Nutan gives you a complete view of your deals — enriched with intelligence from meetings, emails, and CRM data. Unlike a traditional CRM that depends on manual updates, Nutan keeps your pipeline alive with evidence from real conversations.

Creating a Deal

From Your CRM

If you've connected Salesforce or HubSpot, your existing deals are pulled into Nutan automatically. Any new deals created in your CRM will sync on the next cycle.

Manually in Nutan

  1. Navigate to Deals in the sidebar.
  2. Click New Deal.
  3. Enter the deal name, expected value, and close date.
  4. Select the current stage and assign a contact.

Manual deals can be synced back to your CRM when you're ready.

Deal Stages

Every deal moves through a pipeline. Nutan uses six standard stages:

StageDescription
ProspectingInitial outreach, qualifying interest
QualificationConfirming fit, budget, authority, need, timing
ProposalPresenting solution and pricing
NegotiationWorking through terms, procurement, legal
Closed WonDeal signed and closed successfully
Closed LostDeal did not close

Stage Status

Within active stages, each deal has a status indicator:

  • On Track — Progressing normally, no risk signals.
  • At Risk — Warning signals detected (stalled conversations, missed commitments, competitor mentions).
  • Stalled — No meaningful activity in the defined period.

Status is updated automatically based on meeting activity, action item completion, and signal analysis.

Editing a Deal

Click any deal to open its detail view. You can edit:

  • Deal name and value
  • Expected close date
  • Stage and status
  • Confidence score (0–100)
  • Associated contacts
  • Notes and context

Changes sync to your CRM if the deal was imported and sync is enabled.

Deal Confidence Score

Every deal has a confidence score from 0 to 100. This score reflects evidence from meetings and interactions — not gut feeling. Factors include:

  • Champion engagement level
  • Decision-maker access
  • Budget confirmation signals
  • Timeline alignment
  • Competitor presence
  • Action item follow-through

The score updates automatically as new evidence emerges from meetings.

Deleting a Deal

Deals are soft-deleted — they're hidden from your pipeline but preserved in the database. This ensures audit compliance and allows recovery. To delete a deal, open it and click Delete in the detail view.

CRM Sync

Deals imported from Salesforce or HubSpot carry an external ID that maintains the link. When you update a deal in Nutan and push changes, the update flows back to your CRM. Likewise, changes in your CRM sync into Nutan on the next cycle.

If a deal exists in both systems, Nutan tracks the source and avoids duplication.
